Welcome back to the roaring queer nightlife of Berlin’s past! This FLINTA-themed event
invites you to immerse yourself in the golden era when queer culture flourished—before
history took a dark turn. While dressing in period attire is encouraged, it’s not required—just
bring your spirit for celebration!
What to Expect:
Spectacular Performances from a dazzling lineup of queer artists
Competition for the best embodiment of the 1920s/30s queer zeitgeist
Live Music & Cabaret celebrating queer resilience and history
A Vibrant Community Gathering in a welcoming, inclusive space
All proceeds from the door will go toward a fundraiser for a transfem’s hair transplant,
supporting gender-affirming care within our community.
Featuring Performances By:
Kurt Tucholsky, Bertolt Brecht, Kurt Weill, and others shaped Berlin’s vibrant, queer,
and Jewish cultural scene—until the Nazis drove them into exile.
Actress and politician Anne Helm pays tribute to this era, where political songs became a
refuge of freedom.
Accompanied by guitarist Marcel Weller, Helm’s stripped-down interpretation makes these
songs strikingly relevant today.
Anna Dedorson (Sweden) – Actor, singer, and cultural historian with 25 years of
experience and wholehearted engagement in queer culture. From Shakespeare to drag shows
in Sweden, from cabaret and Weimar extravaganza to life in a queer feminist anarchist house
project in Berlin! Anna will bring us all back to the divine decadence of the Roaring ’20s in
the character of Deana Dee—a most solid Diva.
Deana Dee’s motto: Queer safe spaces then—queer safe spaces now! Through passionate
performances of musical pearls and a compelling presentation of their historical context, let's
find strength today from the songs of the fighters and lovers of the past!
The Berliner Transemble – A trans choir founded in September 2022 by Marius Bernard,
providing a space to enjoy singing without judgment while gaining control and confidence
over one’s voice. The choir now has around 30 members and performs a rich repertoire of
songs by trans artists and about trans themes, sharing their reality, wishes, and joy.
Gunnar Lines – The stage name of Kaya van der Stelt, a genre-blending transfem artist
bringing reggae into unexpected territory. Mixing everything from metal to disco to orchestral
sounds, Gunnar crafts a unique, dynamic soundscape that transcends boundaries. With lyrics
rooted in personal experience, queer joy, and resilience, their music is both uplifting and
deeply engaging. On stage, Gunnar radiates energy, turning every performance into a
celebration of identity and community. Whether igniting the crowd with high-energy beats or
weaving introspective melodies, they create a space where everyone can feel seen, heard, and
uplifted.
