The Sonntags-Club is an event, information & counselling center for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons as well as for all friends and interested parties. The cultural and educational events held at the SC pose an interesting offer for a wide public throughout the entire city. These not only aid in the integration of homosexual and transgendered persons in the larger society and support the understanding of these groups’ lifestyle, but also contribute to the improvement of the Berlin’s social infrastructure.
The Sonntags-Club is one of the official Berlin antidiscrimination locations and offers psycho-social counselling. We offer advice to lesbians, gays, and bisexuals surrounding all of the major life questions, such as coming out, sexuality, and relationship problems. One of our main focuses is counselling for transgendered persons. We offer counselling in relation to identity, changes in a partnership and social context, as well as many other questions that go along with the trans*identity process to anyone living between genders. Councelling in German and English is offered during our office hours over the phone, by email, or face to face. We also have a café with a well-equipped stage. Our café is open every day starting at 6pm and doesn’t close before midnight. Many special-interest and discussion groups as well as various members of Berlin’s queer scene meet here to enjoy fairly-priced drinks in a comfortable atmosphere. On Friday evenings the café is open for women only. A visit to Berlin should always include a visit to the Sonntags-Club. Come by and see us!
